Australian Paramedics Association (Victoria)

Both Gallagher and Windsor, shown below, have made offers to support APA (VIC) members.
APA (VIC) does not provide Income Protection Insurance as part of membership, nor endorse any specific offer or company.

The Purpose of Income Protection

Income Protection Insurance is primarily designed to protect an individual's lifestyle by providing an income on a regular basis. When your income is under threat because you are unable to work for an extended period due to illness or injury, Income Protection pays a benefit amount - normally a percentage of your pre-tax income.

While you focus on recovery, benefits received can be utilised to pay your expenses such as:

  • Mortgage or rent payments
  • Car loans or lease repayments and/or
  • Daily bills

Income Protection Insurance is an option that members must consider individually. APA (VIC) recommends seeking professional financial advice as a part of this consideration.

Gallagher

Gallagher, through Lyle Vinter, will tailor Income Protection Insurance and cater to the individual member. Gallagher have also provided an Income Protection Fact Sheet that can be downloaded by members; Lyle's contact details are included.

You can also request an Authority to Collect Information form if you already have income protection insurance elsewhere, but wish to enquire how Gallagher can help you.

Windsor Income Protection

"Income Protection Scheme for our Ambulance and Paramedic Members"

Under this new scheme, your policy will be in your name, fully tax deductible and provide you with peace of mind in the event of you being injured outside work hours or are diagnosed with an illness.

This Insurance application can be accessed from clicking on their logo below, noting that the page may require you to temporarily ‘allow Pop Ups’.
